A Sheffield United fan fell through the roof of a bus stop during street celebrations of their promotion to the Premier League.

Chris Wilder’s Blades effectively sealed top-flight football next season with a 2-0 win over Ipswich Town at Bramall Lane on Saturday.

Although it’s not yet a mathematical certainty, their superior goal difference makes it extremely unlikely that Leeds United can catch them.

No one could begrudge their supporters a bit of a party, although quite why this man decided to jump on top of an already shaking bus stop is not clear.

Egged on by onlookers, he steadies himself before leaping up and landing – apparently intentionally – backside-first on the roof.

Needless to say, it gives way beneath his weight and he falls straight through.

The man is said to have been taken away in an ambulance after loosing “a lot” of blood.
