A steward at Rotherham United cracked one of the advertising boards after he leant against it during a match against Aston Villa on Tuesday night.

Substitute Jonathan Kodjia equalised for the visitors after netting from the penalty spot shortly after half-time.

Ready for any forthcoming celebrations, the stadium employee placed himself in front of the away support at the New York Stadium.

But he managed to break the ad hoarding and almost went straight through it.

The steward appeared to have put his entire body weight against the board when it collapsed in front of fans.

The clip was filmed by an Aston Villa supporter before the team secured a 1-2 win.
