Watch as former Chelsea star Ramires has to be held back from attacking the referee during a Chinese Super League clash between Jiangsu Suning and Shandong Luneng.
The Brazilian midfielder, most famous for his exquisitely chipped goal against Barcelona in a Champions League semi-final, joined Jiangsu Suning in a £25m deal back in the January transfer window.
But the substantial salary he no doubt commands has done little to assuage his temper, it seems – having been shown the red card by referee Zhang Long following the final whistle of his side’s defeat, Ramires repeatedly tries to charge at the official only to be restrained by team-mates.
In an arguably inflammatory move, the referee runs over to Ramires in order to pointedly flash the red card in his face.
Needless to say, this only exacerbated the situation and once again Ramires has to be held back from attacking the referee.
