Paris Saint-Germain star Neymar hit a fan who was filming him during the aftermath of Saturday’s French Cup final defeat to Rennes.

The Brazilian forward was reeling from his side’s inability to capitalise on racing into a two-goal lead within 21 minutes at the Stade de France.

Rennes, who lie 11th out of the 20 teams in France’s top flight, fought back to equalise before winning 6-5 on penalties.

While going up to collect his runners-up medal, Neymar attracted the apparently mocking attentions of one spectator.

The man seems to be filming Neymar coming up the steps even as other players go by, all while sporting a telltale smirk.

As Neymar passes, the fan swings his phone around to follow him – but the player has noticed and asks him to stop, forcefully lowering the device.

A no-doubt unfriendly exchange of words ensues before Neymar lashes out, aiming a hit at the man and then walking away as onlookers gasp.

He reportedly faces an eight-match ban for the offence.
