The pooch looked to be having an absolute whale of a time as it bounded across the turf, leaping majestically yet playfully at players all the while.

Eventually the canine pitch invader was escorted off the pitch amidst attempted face-licks, clearing the way for Venezuelan side Táchira to win the game 1-0.

Reports that it has since been awarded the Fur Play award remain unconfirmed.
