A Newcastle fan filmed himself singing a Salomón Rondón song he came up with after the club signed the striker from West Brom on a season-long loan.
Dan Metcalf explains that he had “a bit of a long drive yesterday and it was through the night”, claiming he was “knackered” but kept himself alert by creating the ditty.
The 28-year-old Venezuela international arrives at St. James’ Park with Dwight Gayle moving to the Championship side as part of the same deal.
West Brom head coach Darren Moore has insisted the “deal was in the best interests of both clubs”.
Chris Smith published the clip on YouTube:
Good friend of mine and proud Geordie, Dan Metcalf singing a song he made up while on the road with work for new Newcastle United signing Salomon Rondon!
Venezuela is north of the equator. It needs to be said.
