Minnesota United’s Michael Boxall left an empty water bottle on the presentation stand for the match ball as the teams paraded past it ahead of kick-off at Real Salt Lake.

But Minnesota’s 30-year-old centre-back casually discarded his litter where the ball had been placed before the referee grabbed it while leading the players out of the tunnel.
Two goals in the second-half within 13 minutes of each other saw the sides play out a 1-1 draw at RSL’s Rio Tinto Stadium in the MLS on Sunday.
