VIDEO: Stuttgart’s Maxime Awoudja scores own goal and is sent off on professional debut

Unfortunate evening for 21-year-old substitute against Hannover.

Also, an own goal by Maxime Awoudja which was, for me, quite nice. Salah jaring je. Eh. pic.twitter.com/CQcITyiw13

21-year-old Maxime Awoudja made his league debut after coming on as a substitute for Stuttgart against Hannover but managed to score an own goal before being sent off.

Stuttgart were two goals up at the Mercedes-Benz Arena on Friday night in their opening match of the 2. Bundesliga season when Awoudja pulled one back for the visitors.

2-1! Awoudja's only been on the field 4 mins for his #VfB debut but he has his name on the scoresheet…just in the net #VfBH96 pic.twitter.com/A2BzbFGAXC

The first-half sub was consoled by his teammates after pushing the ball past his own goalkeeper but went on to be booked shortly after half-time.

He then received a second yellow card and was shown his marching orders in the 85th minute following a dubious decision from the referee.

This lad made his debut when he came on as a first half substitute, two minutes later he scored an own goal, he’s now just been sent off for this?! This awful decision has just topped off a horrible debut for him. pic.twitter.com/LOMfaE7TrR
