Manchester United’s Marouane Fellaini managed to lose the mascot he was supposed to be walking out of the tunnel with ahead of kick-off in a Champions League clash with Young Boys on Tuesday night.

The television coverage focussed on the lineups as the teams prepared to emerge at Old Trafford and each player appeared to have a youngster alongside them, except for Fellaini.

When the big moment arrived, the midfielder looked around for his companion but it was too late and the child was nowhere to be seen.

The player then began to walk out onto the pitch, before the European group stage clash, alone.

It didn’t seem to affect his performance though and the big man ended up scoring the winner in added time at the end of a 1-0 win for José Mourinho’s side.
