Listen carefully to this clip and you can hear Mansfield striker Danny Rose say “megs” after nutmegging Lincoln’s Harry Anderson during Saturday’s League Two clash.

After receiving a throw-in from left-back Mal Benning, Rose holds off an Imps defender before playing the ball back to his teammate through Anderson’s legs.

In a cocky utterance picked up by the microphones, Rose can be heard casually saying “megs”.

The match itself ended 1-1, with Lincoln taking the lead at their Sincil Bank home with an 85th minute goal from Derby County loanee Kellan Gordon.

Former Chelsea youth team player Jacob Mellis then drew the Stags level with a volley in the third minute of injury time after good play from Rose.

Danny Cowley’s Lincoln remain top of the table, ahead of MK Dons on goal difference, with David Flitcroft’s Mansfield five points behind in 4th place.
