Argeş Piteşti manager Emil Săndoi was sent off for stepping onto the pitch and tackling a player during a 1-1 draw at AFC Chindia Târgoviște in Romania’s Liga II on Saturday.
The 53-year-old stuck out a leg as Chindia’s Cristian Daniel Neguţ dribbled close to the dugouts in the televised game at Stadionul Eugen Popescu in Târgoviște.
The FC Argeş coach took the ball but also tripped Neguţ and his offence was immediately spotted by the assistant referee, who signalled to the man in charge that he should send Săndoi to the stands.
The result leaves the home side top of the league with just four games played.
