This is the moment a Manchester City fan who left early from Wednesday’s Champions League clash with Tottenham Hotspur learned his team didn’t win it.
Evidently the supporter had not stuck around at the Etihad long enough to find out that Raheem Sterling’s apparent stoppage time winner had been disallowed.
Few weeks back Hartlepool were getting beat 2 nil at home by Dover. Group of blokes stood near me and my son made a big thing of leaving early. We then scored 2 quick fire goals to pull level and won it in the 90th min. Turned to my son and said that's why you don't leave early.

Approached by a reporter saying “I know you’re very disappointed”, he replies:
Disappointed? We won!
He is then informed that Sterling’s late goal had been chalked off following a VAR consultation, to which he says:
I can’t put into words…it’s just unbelievable.
Last time I left a match early was when Pompey were 3-1 down at home to Leeds and @guywhittingham scored 2 in the last moments to make it 3-3. Never again!

Although City won 4-3 on the night, Spurs progressed to the semi-finals on away goals following a 1-0 first leg victory.
They will take on Ajax in the final four, with Liverpool up against Barcelona.
