Barcelona thumped Atlético Madrid 4-1 at the Camp Nou, a game which saw Lionel Messi hugged by a pitch invader as well as the striker’s 89th and 90th goals of the calendar year.

Clearly delighted, a fan managed to gain access to the pitch during injury time and hug the great Messi himself before being escorted out of the stadium by the stewards.

No stranger to these incidents, while playing for Argentina the Barca forward also shook hands with a German fan in August:
