In Belgian singer-songwriter Stromae’s latest “lesson”, number 28, see the national team squad and coach get roped into the performance.
We are introduced to the musician as he first emerges from a nationally-themed tent with a little flag on top, pitched in a stadium’s centre-circle.
Stromae thoroughly brushes his teeth before divulging his first thoughts about the project forming the basis for this elongated feature.
He gets started on the song straight away with the use of his mini-synth which planted on a little table beside his campsite, surrounded by mini figurines of the country’s heroes.
A passing gardener driving a ride-on lawnmower is stopped as we enquire as to when the national team squad will be arriving, the winner of Best Belgian Act at the 2013 MTV Europe Music Awards hitches a lift on his contraption and the journey begins.
Finally discovered in a presumably nearby hotel, one by one the players are embroiled in the musical adventure and finally we are treated to a teaser of the final cut.
