José Mourinho slipped and fell on a carpet laid out for him after he dropped the puck to start of an ice hockey game in Russia on Monday.
Currently taking a break from football management after being dismissed from his role at Manchester United, Mourinho was invited to be guest of honour at a Kontinental Hockey League clash between SKA Saint Petersburg and Avangard.

After walking out onto the ice, he played his part in the ceremonial puck drop at the 6,000-capacity Balashikha Arena in Moscow Oblast before turning to leave.
Just a few short steps later though, he slipped and fell on the red carpet and had to be helped back to his feet by 40-year-old Saint Petersburg captain Pavel Datsyuk.
