Impressionist Scheiffer Bates posted a video of him impersonating Newcastle United manager Steve Bruce, imagining his reaction to the club’s proposed takeover.

A group of investors backed by Saudi Arabia’s sovereign wealth fund is lining up a £300m acquisition of the Magpies from Mike Ashley, their owner of thirteen years.

In mimicking Bruce, Bates picks up on his frequent use of the word “listen” and pokes fun at his weight by talking about ordering in kebabs.

He ends the clip with a message to misfiring Brazilian striker Joelinton, almost bursting into tears as he tells him how much he misses him.
