Watch Thamesmead Town’s Jack Mahoney score an incredible wind-assisted goal in their Emirates FA Cup preliminary round tie at Guernsey on Saturday.
Teammate Scott Kinch’s attempt from outside the area looked to be sailing high and wide before swinging back towards the goal and eventually hitting the crossbar before Mahoney was able to poke home.
In extremely windy conditions in the English Channel, the crazy assist helped put Thamesmead 2-0 up against the hosts who were participating in their first ever FA Cup match.
But they were unable to hold on to their lead and Guernsey came back from two goals down to force a replay, which was played on Tuesday night and finished 1-1 with Thamesmead going through to the next round on penalties.
