See the disastrous Germany own goal that gave the United States a 2-0 lead during an international friendly in Washington DC on Sunday.

A costly mistake from 21-year-old Borussia Mönchengladbach goalkeeper Marc-André ter Stegen after 17 minutes gifted the Americans a two-goal cushion in a match they went on to win 4-3.

Goals from Jozy Altidore and Tottenham’s Clint Dempsey along with Benedikt Howedes’s own goal ensured that the USA, coached by none other than Jürgen Klinsmann, stormed to victory against a significantly weakened German side.
