Fenerbahçe’s Nabil Dirar put the ball out of play and tried to leave the pitch when his own team’s fans booed him during Tuesday’s 6-1 Audi Cup defeat to Bayern Munich.

The 33-year-old Moroccan winger was at fault for Bayern’s third goal, the first of a hat-trick for 2014 World Cup winner Thomas Müller.

After subsequently finding himself on the receiving end of jeering, Dirar decided he’d had enough and walked away, with coaching staff having to intervene.

Renato Sanches, Leon Goretzka and Kingsley Coman completed the scoring for the reigning Bundesliga champions, with Max Kruse netting a consolation for the Turkish side.

This evening, Fener will take on Real Madrid in the third place playoff of the pre-season competition, while Bayern face Tottenham Hotspur in the final.
