Gaz Metan Mediaș pulled out of a pre-season friendly with Charlton after the referee sent two of their players off shortly after half-time.
The Romanian side, based in Mediaș, Sibiu County, were said to have “manhandled” the ref after a penalty was awarded against them.

When it became apparent that the official would not be rescinding the red cards so the players involved could be substituted instead, manager Mihai Teja ordered his team off the pitch.
Despite the tie due to last 70 minutes, it was abandoned after just 49, following the penalty decision less than 5 minutes earlier.
"They are making fun of us! Come on, let's leave" – Gaz Metan manager Iordanescu before asking his players to walk off the pitch. https://t.co/6QZO4TH3su
