Gareth Bale wore his face mask over his eyes while relaxing on the bench for Real Madrid during their clash with Deportivo Alavés.

Real Madrid defeated Alavés 2-0 at the Estadio Alfredo Di Stéfano on Friday, in their latest La Liga match behind closed doors due to the spread of coronavirus.

Unused substitute Gareth Bale, appeared nonchalant about being left out of the starting line-up and was seen joking and lying back in his seat throughout the ninety minutes.

At one point, he was even pictured on television coverage of the game with his protective face mask placed over his eyes as if trying to have to snooze.
