With no fans in the stadium to drown them out, the England team singing “God Save the Queen” could be clearly heard before Thursday’s game against Wales.

Gareth Southgate’s side won 3-0 in the friendly match at Wembley, with Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Conor Coady and Danny Ings each scoring their first full international goals.

Prior to kick-off, the Three Lions team lined up for the customary rendition of the national anthems, and unfortunately for them their vocals left exposed.

Jokes about the resulting tuneless dirge did the rounds on social media, with captain Kieran Tripper apparently the most in need of Auto-Tune.
