Watch as an England fan dives into a canal in Dortmund while in Germany for an international friendly between the two sides at Signal Iduna Park on Wendesday night.

One man strips down to his pants and jumps into the Dortmund–Ems Canal with an almighty splash, egged on by his laughing mates who sing There’s only one Tom Daley, likening him to the Olympic diver.

The video then continues somewhat serenely as the fellow quietly swims a little further downstream before eventually climbing out in quite ungainly fashion.

The soggy swimmer then dries himself off with an England supporters flag.
