Dulwich Hamlet’s David Ijaha thought he’d lost the mascot he was supposed to be leading out onto the pitch after taking a moment to adjust his kit.
Dulwich were beaten 2-3 by Slough Town after two goals for the visitors in the last 12 minutes at Champion Hill in the National League South on bank holiday Monday.

As the players emerged from the tunnel before kick-off, captain of the home side David Ijaha briefly let go of the young mascot’s hand.
Once he’d got himself reorganised, a short moment of panic was obvious on the 29-year-old’s face when he couldn’t seem to spot where Maxwell was.
