Enjoy this short video of a dog looking for the ball after watching an Arsenal corner on TV taken by Mesut Özil.

The clip appears to be taken from the Gunners’ 3-1 defeat at Chelsea in February but only started doing the rounds on Saturday in terms of online sharing.

Had the dog been watching their 3-0 defeat at Crystal Palace on Monday night, it may well have gone full pelt after Özil’s lofted pass to an as-yet-unused substitute.

While neither the name of the pooch nor the owner are made available to us, it’s a touchingly light-hearted moment that dog-lovers everywhere will be able to relate to.

Like his team-mate Alexis Sánchez, Özil is one of those dog-lovers and has frequently shown off his pug Balboa in photos on social media.
