The former Chelsea bulldozer was back to his old tricks while spending time with family over the new year.

The player’s Instagram story features him creeping into the room where his brother, Jair, is sleeping and lighting a bowl of small fireworks not far from his head.

As expected, Costa’s brother wakes up with a start as smoke rises from the container.

It’s obvious from Jair’s own social media accounts how proud he is of his football star sibling and how much they enjoy their time together.

Diego is currently unavailable due to a foot injury but is expected to be available for selection next month.
