A Derby fan tweeted a video of himself singing a song he’d made up about the club chairman, “to persuade Mel Morris to spend the big bucks on transfer deadline day”.

The January transfer window closed on Thursday night with Derby bringing in Leicester City midfielder Andy King at the last minute.

A Twitter account called ‘Dcfc Chants’ also published its second ever video.

Sat in front of the camera with his face covered, the supporter sings along to the tune of Bob Marley’s Buffalo Soldier.

His introduction is almost as long as the song itself and it’s unclear whether the Candy Crush millionaire has seen it.

The same account has previously, and since, published other clips filmed in a similar vein.
