Slaven Belupo conceded to Hajduk Split while mistakenly celebrating a goal they thought they’d scored in a Croatian top flight match.

Hajduk were 1-0 up in the 72nd minute of Saturday’s game at the Stadion Poljud when their goalkeeper claimed an opposition cross.

He then rolls the ball straight out into the path of Belupo’s Nemanja Glavčić, who attempts to score with an audacious lob.

The backpedalling Hajduk ‘keeper manages to scramble it away before it crosses the line, but he collides with the back of the net.

Confused by the resultant ripple, Belupo players assume they’ve equalised – and while they’re celebrating, Hajduk break away and make it 2-0.
