One young fan managed to sneak onto the pitch, get a selfie with Lionel Messi and return to the stands undetected before Barcelona’s 5-0 win at Levante.
With the players warming up prior to kick-off at Sunday’s La Liga match, the boy approaches his idol mid-exercise and persuades him to pose for a photo.
He then trots off back to his seat to show off the picture to his friends.
Messi went on to score a seventeen-minute hat-trick at the Estadi Ciutat de València, with Luis Suárez and Gerard Piqué getting the other goals.
Yesterday the Argentine was presented with a record fifth European Golden Shoe, an annual award for the continent’s leading scorer across the top leagues.
His 34 goals in 36 games saw him edge out Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah, who scored 32, and he’s likely to be in the running once again having scored 14 in 14 so far this season.
