BFC Daugavpils started their Latvian Higher League match at Valmieras with just eight players after an outbreak of COVID-19 among the squad.
Considering their significant numerical disadvantage from kick-off and lower standing in the table, they did well to keep the score down to 3-0.

Admittedly the game only lasted 57 minutes before it had to be abandoned due to a Daugavpils player suffering an injury at the Vidzemes Olimpiskais Centrs Sia.
According to the rules, “a match may not start or continue if either team has fewer than seven players”.
