Beijing Guoan’s Renato Augusto had to receive medical attention following a clash with the referee during a game at Shanghai East Asia.
Beijing were beaten 2-1 in a Chinese Super League clash at Shanghai Stadium on Sunday with the Brazilian, formerly of Flamengo, Bayer Leverkusen and Corinthians, up front.

At one point, 31-year-old Renato Augusto appeared to run head first into referee Matthew Conger’s shoulder before collapsing a heap.
The official from New Zealand looked around and brought the game to a halt while the injured player could get treatment.
