Bayern Munich manager Niko Kovač poked himself in the eye during Saturday’s 3-0 DFB-Pokal final win over Leipzig at the Olympiastadion Berlin.
The Bundesliga champions made it a domestic double with two goals from Robert Lewandowski, taking him to forty in all competitions for the season.

Kingsley Coman scored the other as Kovač became the first boss to win back-to-back German cups with two different teams.
However, the former Croatia national team captain also managed to accidentally poke himself in the eye while barking out instructions and pointing to his head.
Niko Kovač must stay! The fans made it clear in todays game which was reminiscent of Bayerns entire season. It took an incredible effort to come back from 9pts and win the title. Kovač is a monster of mentality, true grit and determination #MiaSanMia #Bayern pic.twitter.com/zBIdpBIZLh

Fortunately he appeared to emerge unscathed from his ‘self-Mourinho’ and was able to celebrate his latest winner’s medal.
In the 2018 final, he led Eintracht Frankfurt to victory over Bayern.
