Al-Hilal’s Bafétimbi Gomis frightened a ball boy so much with his trademark ‘lion walk’ goal celebration that the youngster ran away from him.
Former Swansea striker Gomis had just put the Saudi Pro League leaders ahead against Al-Ittihad at the King Abdullah Sports City stadium on Thursday.
In a celebration he’s stuck with over the years, Gomis got down on his knees and started swiping his hands like the mighty paws of a lion.
After casting nervous glances at the player advancing towards him, the child got up from his seat and ran fearfully away.
Realising what he had done, Gomis found the boy at the end of a game that Al-Hilal won 2-0 and gave him his shirt.
The gesture worked a treat, with the kid even filming his own version of the celebration and posting it on Twitter.
33-year-old Gomis has been in fine form for the Saudi Arabian side, scoring 17 goals in 21 matches.
