A group of ‘friendly barbarians’ turned up to FC Poli Iași’s training session to offer motivation for Saturday’s Romanian Liga I match against CFR Cluj.
Poli Iași lie 8th out of the fourteen teams in Romania’s top-flight, so they’ll be up against it when league leaders Cluj visit the Stadionul Emil Alexandrescu.
But their players received a boost at training when they were paid a visit by a group of men in fancy dress.
The absolutely fantastic world of Romanian football comes back in style. Poli Iasi chairman made a complaint against the club's 'suspended' owner. Now the club has to pay a 4.5k euros fine. Basically, Poli asked the Football Association's Committees to rule against itself!

Proudly bearing weapons, shields and armour, the barbarians approach manager Flavius Stoican after entering through a guard of honour formed by the players.
They squad seem amused by the stunt, but it remains to be seen if it has the desired effect on their matchday performance.
