One Aston Villa supporter found himself screaming at the referee to blow the final whistle as he watched the last few minutes of their win against Arsenal at home on TV.

Relegation-threatened Aston Villa earned a crucial three points after beating Arsenal 1-0 behind closed doors at Villa Park on Tuesday night.

The result lifts Dean Smith’s side out of the relegation zone on goal difference and leaves them with a good chance of remaining in the Premier League.

In the nerve-wracking last moments of the game, one fan found himself standing up in front of his television at home, repeatedly demanding the final whistle while being filmed by someone sitting on the sofa behind him.
