Ever wondered if there was a video out there of the Aston Villa ’95/96 squad talking about their favourite drinks? Wonder no more, for such a thing has surfaced.

Brian Little’s men were the last Villa side to win a major trophy, beating Leeds United 3-0 in that season’s League Cup final at Wembley – and they liked a drink or two, as this vintage footage shows.

Following an intro of some twinkly music set to a montage of people contentedly sipping various beverages, you’ll get to hear luminaries such as Gareth Southgate, Andy Townsend, Dwight Yorke, Mark Bosnich, Ugo Ehiogu and Mark Draper talking about their favourite drinks – just like you’ve always wanted to.

Award for the least surprising answer? That would have to go to Paul McGrath, the Republic of Ireland defender affectionately nicknamed ‘God’ by the Villa Park faithful, who of course opts for Guinness.

A special mention also for Tommy Johnson, who jokes that he’s never touched a drop in his life before adding that he “drinks tea for fun”.
