One of the assistant referees fell over the advertising hoardings behind him, midway through an FA Cup third round match between National League Woking and Watford on Sunday.

The seats and terraces at Woking’s 6,000-capacity Kingfield Stadium were full for the cup clash with the Premier League side, shown live on BT Sport.

I would have stopped to see if he was ok….good manners cost nothing….

In the second half, the assistant referee could be seen tumbling over the advertising boards after a Watford player who was barged towards him.

Stumbling as he attempted to avoid the large frame of Watford’s Isaac Success, who started upfront for the visitors, he tripped and fell backwards.

The official’s fall was cheered by supporters and there was applause as he got to his feet with a sheepish grin.

Unfortunately for the home fans, there was to be no upset with Watford coming away with a 0-2 win.
