See an angry Rooney during the player’s post-match interview after Manchester United’s 4-2 win over Bayer Leverkusen in Champions League Group A last night.

New manager David Moyes made a winning start to his first Champions League group stage campaign and the game saw Wayne Rooney reach the prestigious milestone of 200 goals for United, scoring a brace on the night and he could easily have added a third.

He also became the highest scoring British player in Champions League history.

You’d think Wayne would be happy, especially after completing his first appearance following his recovery from a severe gash to the head, but no.

The ITV Sport reporter directly posed the question:

A lot of speculation – did you ever ask to leave?

This appeared to rile Rooney and the England striker fixed his interviewer with evil eyes, before responding in a harsher tone:

Listen, I’ve just told ya, I’m concentrating on me football which I’ve been doing all summer.

… before the interview quickly moved on.
