A stadium employee, walking beside the pitch at Anfield, stopped for a brief moment to sing Virgil van Dijk’s song for a Liverpool supporter on a tour of the ground.
As if appearing in a musical, the man burst into song as he paced around the perimeter of the grass as an unexpected treat for the visitor from New York ahead of what he said was his first ever home game.

Using the acoustics of the empty stadium, the American experienced a heartfelt rendition of the chant while videoing the whole encounter on his phone.
Liverpool beat Arsenal 5-1 at Anfield on Saturday to strengthen their lead at the top of the Premier League table.
