An England fan briefly passed out while he was celebrating Kieran Trippier’s stunning goal from a free-kick in the World Cup semi-final against Croatia this summer.

English people in bars and pubs across the globe cheered the strike that put the national team in front in just the fifth minute of the game in Russia.

CCTV footage in one location appears to show a man jumping up and down with friends before collapsing onto the floor in a heap.

He is then pointed at by his mate, who does eventually help him up.

Someone claiming to be the person in the video uploaded it to Twitter in response to a request for people who thought the goal celebrations were the highlight of their year as 2018 comes to a close.

Unfortunately Croatia managed to overturn England’s early lead, winning the tie 2-1 in extra time to progress to the World Cup final.
