A group of Ajax fans counted down to the final whistle while watching their Champions League semi-final against Spurs, only for their team to concede.
With just seconds remaining of last Wednesday’s match at the Johan Cruijff ArenA, these Ajax supporters were confident enough of victory to anticipate it vocally.

After all, they were 3-2 ahead on aggregate and Tottenham had appeared to have exhausted their reserves of energy in fighting back from 2-0 down on the night.
Unfortunately for these fans, their countdown is brought to an abrupt halt as Lucas Moura completes his hat-trick in the 96th minute.
The equivalent of this would be counting down the seconds at NYE only for you to be told you’ve got work next day…
