Macclesfield Town defender Andy Halls has revealed on Twitter that the Barnet players have to call player-coach Edgar Davids Mister.
After a league clash between the two sides, 21-year-old Halls accused the Dutch legend of demanding the odd title from his lowly Conference Premier players.
The former Ajax man was unable to prevent his side eventually losing 2-1 at home, despite putting in an all-action performance and could only watch on as one of his colleagues missed a penalty in the process.
Following the match, Macclesfield’s new signing Halls claimed the “players have to address him as Mr on the pitch” and then went on to say “he might of had a ledge career but what a bad muppet”.

Just played against Edgar Davids. His players have to address him as Mr on the pitch he might of had a ledge career but what a bad muppet

@GLillisAgent it took me 60 minutes to realise what they were shouting, couldn't believe it

Mail Online also supported reports of Davids’s lavish lifestyle:
When Davids missed a week of pre-season because of a prior engagement at the Playboy Mansion, many Barnet fans understandably questioned his dedication.
