“Sturridge Dance” is the new track from JMC coming out for this summer’s World Cup in Brazil, at which the titular Liverpool striker looks likely to be a key player for England.

Daniel Sturridge has been in devastating form during his one and a half seasons at Anfield thus far, scoring 35 goals in 49 games and celebrating many of them with his distinctive dance routine.

Yes, that one. Now hear the song itself, which features the refrain of “UK, Amsterdam, Paris, south of France / We be in the club doing the Sturridge Dance / Yeah we’re balling like we’re Sturridge / After the club we on the plane, no luggage”…

Sturridge was also a key player in the preview we showed you yesterday of England players playlist “The Road to Brazil”, while lookalikes of David Beckham and David Luiz crop up in the video for “Holiday in Brazil”, the England World Cup song by Britain’s Got Talent finalist Gabz.

Word has it that Everton left-back Leighton Baines, renowned for his studied and eclectic taste in music, was not among the England players to have selected a tune for the players playlist.

Mind you, it might have seemed a bit odd to have Pink Floyd snuggled in between Avicii and Bastille.
