But one person in the stands found himself distracted by something happening altogether closer than the action on the pitch.
He spotted someone in front of him sending and receiving sexually explicit messages, as you can clearly see on this photo of the phone screen.
It isn’t clear from the tweet just how much of the game the man spent embroiled in flirtatious exchanges.
