Wanted to avoid the press after reports of financial problems.

Former Brazil international Ronaldinho reportedly sent a lookalike to sign autographs following his appearance in a futsal exhibition match in São Paulo on Sunday.

9500 fans came to watch the match that was organised by fellow veteran South American stars, Radamel Falcao and Denílson.

After the final whistle, Ronaldinho is said to have avoided members of the public and waiting media by sending out his well-known lookalike, ‘Dinho’, instead.

The former player reportedly left quickly in a car waiting for him outside the venue while his double posed for selfies with supporters.

A fine imposed on the family in 2015 for environmental damaged is rumoured to have left him and his brother penniless before a court ordered the removal of their passports in November.
