A Racing Club supporter brought his grandfather’s skull to a street party celebrating the team’s Superliga Argentina title success.

Clearly Gabriel Aranda was keen for his grandpa Valentina not to miss out on the carnival atmosphere following Racing’s first Primera División title since 2014.

So he dug up his skull and took it along for the celebrations on the streets of Buenos Aires.

He told TNT Sports:

He is the lucky omen, he will be proud that I took it out.

Sunday’s 1-1 draw at Tigres ensured top spot for Racing, even though they conceded an equaliser deep into stoppage time.

They finished four points clear of Defensa y Justicia, with Boca Juniors ending the season in 3rd place.
