A man turned up to the training ground of second-tier Dutch side NEC with a fishing rod, declaring his intention to “fish for talent”.
According to a tweet from Voetbal International journalist Stef de Bont, he departed saying “no, no talent here” after player Randy Wolters fell over in jest.

The Nijmegen-based club scraped a top half finish in this season’s Eerste Divisie, finishing 9th out of 20 teams and ahead of Cambuur on goal difference.
They are managed by Ron de Groot, who spent most of his playing career there before having to retire through injury aged 27, upon which he joined the backroom staff.
