Did you know that Mick McCarthy sings? Well, sung – check out this 1991 duet with Irish singer Linda Martin, who went on to win the following year’s Eurovision Song Contest.

Irish website Balls.ie unearthed this vintage curio, a cover of Nancy Sinatra and Lee Hazelwood’s 1971 hit “Did You Ever?”, which showcases the current Ipswich Town manager’s faintly tone-deaf singing voice in all its glory.

When asked about the song at a recent pre-match press conference, McCarthy told the East Anglian Daily Times and Ipswich Star:

I wondered when that might appear. It was for charity. It’s just one of those things. When things are going well for you, someone comes and asks you if you’ll do it and you wonder at the time if it will come back to haunt you. When the audio is found I’ll have the piss ripped out of me, I’m sure.
