An artist based in San Francisco, California has created a Soccer Jesus series of works depicting Jesus of Nazareth, the central figure of Christianity, in a selection of football shirts.

Paula Morales was born in Quetzaltenango, Guatemala and tells us on her website that:

My work is a reflection of my fascination with life, it is the result of my experiences and dreams. As a visual artist I am utterly involved in image creation, I believe art is a revolutionary act of freedom a device of dialogue and a path to communication. In a journey to expand my imagination, to learn and experiment, to create and pursue dreams.

Brendan Rodgers will be pleased that the Messiah has returned with a Liverpool shirt on.
