Harry Kane was this morning still celebrating becoming the first player to say “nah, definitely” one hundred times in post-match interviews.
The Tottenham Hotspur striker got his Premier League tally up and running for the season with a brace against Everton, taking him over the hundred-goal mark for the club.
And he then secured another landmark while speaking to Match of the Day host Gary Lineker in last night’s show.
When asked if he was surprised he hadn’t already said “nah, definitely” a hundred times, Kane said “nah, definitely”.
He said: “Nah, definitely.
“If you think how many goals I’ve scored and how many post-match interviews I must have done, then nah definitely, I must have said ‘nah definitely’ well over a hundred times already.
“Perhaps I’m more eloquent than you all thought.”
